Larry Brenner, MD
Dr. Larry
Brenner is a respected name in Houston’s eye care community
and joined the Department after retiring from a 30-year-old private
practice in Pasadena. Prior to his honorable discharge from the
U.S. Army, Dr. Brenner completed his residency at Bascom Palmer
Eye Institute in Miami, Florida, with particular emphasis on neuro-ophthalmology.
He received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical
Branch in Galveston and completing a rotating internship at Memorial
Hospital.
Dr. Brenner’s
prestigious career includes service to numerous medical organizations.
For example, Dr. Brenner has served as President of the Texas
Ophthalmologic Association, as well as President of the Houston
Ophthalmological Society; he also was a member of the Medical
Executive Board of the Texas State Commission for the Blind. He
is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, served
as Vice-Speaker of its House of Delegates, and was a member of
its Board of Councilors. |
